Well, what a trip, still recovering!
Drove for 10 hrs straight on Sat, through crazy down pours, 3mph stop and go traffic at midnight in Chicago, and endless tolls of IL, IN, and OH. Finally got a room about 4 am somewhere after Notre Dame, slept for a whopping 4 hrs before we were back on the road again.
Hit up OH bout 11am, backed my dakota up to his, rolled the bike in the back, tied her down and handed over the cash. Over 13 hrs of driving for a whopping 15 min transaction.. Didnt even ride it, ran the bike for 10 secs.. why? Because we didnt meet half way to not make a deal.
Ate some lunch, and drove 13 hrs back home, through tolls, down pours, stop and go traffic in Chi town, sunshine, and more down pours to roll in the driveway at 11:56 pm with the new toy!
4 Days later, still sore as hell from the drive in a standard cab dakota! Woulda been nice to tilt the seat back just a bit.. and 26hrs worth of driving with a whole 5 or 6 cds..... LOL ya..... :goodluck:
Wish I took some pics of it before I started ripping it all apart! Took all plastic off it, tank, drained the old fuel, changed the oil, and now its halfway re assembled, but here ya go..
