Places to get carpet in the cities.

Looking for other places to get carpet from. Same day needs and perferably the shit that has padding on already. Not keen on the HD selection (no attached padding) and I don't think Lowes or Mynards will work for same day shit. Anyone got any locations?

First off I would stay AWAY from the all in one carpets.
Call the evil empire for your immediate needs... they will be the only ones who can do this on such short notice.

Re: Places to get carpet in the cities.

We've already had an estimate from them, and I'm not paying $4K at this time to put carpet down. We are looking for a short-term decent carpet to put in ourselves so we can get it done soon. Then within the next year or two at most, I'll pay a professional and get what will be best for the basement.

Not really.... I don't think. I think I had to pick my jaw up. I pretty much told them to leave.

Re: Places to get carpet in the cities.

Weird they were really reasonable for my theater room. Its a 18x14 room with a front stage and rear riser, and they only charged me about 1100 with carpet installed. Heavy pad, frizee carpet. I think even for my main basement room, which is about half carpet they only charged me 2300 (16x30). I know it was considerably cheaper than the standard carpet people and Lowes, HD and they could do it the next day. Granted I have had them back a few times to fix sub-par workmanship, I am still quite happy, their customer service is top notch.
