Very nice! How long all of that take you to do? Looks like one of those tedious, measure 20 times, cross your fingers and cut once type projects. lol

Those two runners about 8 hours. I was doing it during staffed hours so when a tool I was using was needed I stopped. So maybe about 6-7 hours. I had to re-do #4 once, I forgot I needed room for the wastegate on that side of the collector.

Re: Progress since last year

So I cut all the tack's and moved the collector again but the turbo is perfect where I got it now and I will not be changing the manifold again.
well almost finished with the manifold. Here's some progress pictures.

Getting things nice and tight!!

Test fitting in my car

There will be two of these hanging off the sides on the manifold too. Just waiting on final pipe fittment before I make holes and put the wastegates on it.

Ya I got mine a few days ago and got it installed. I was wondering what the deal with the water cooling was all about. I didnt even know that it was going to be like that when I ordered it. Are you running the water cooling on yours?

Re: Progress since last year

I finished up the fab and taching of the manifold. Now time to remove each runner purge and weld!!

As a few of my friends have called is spaghetti!!

Should be running in a week or two!!

Yes, all the new Tial mvs wastegates are water cooled. We believe its to keep the diaphragm cool since its so close to the base of the exhaust chamber.

The water cooling channels were put there for cars that road race; cars that spend hours at WOT.

Good work!! I saw those water cooled wastegates on someones thread on tuners, they didn't use the water cooling option though.

One other thought I had was it might help keep the black wastegates black, instead of turning brown after a little while of use lol
What you said makes a lot more sense but, they are switching all the mvs to have that option? clearly you don't have to run it.

Re: Progress since last year

What i stated is just what I've read. It would probably be worth a phone call to Tial to see what their engineers have to say.
