Actually the turbo 4, the V8's had the newer front bumper and bigger rear spoiler. This is an SE model, kinda my favorite and fairly affordable if you are your own mechanic. With a Renault engine and Citroen gearbox, these things make a DSM look like a Camry in terms of reliability. Tool box and shop manual fit neatly in the rear compartment at all times.

Re: It's Tax Time Again - Whatcha Gettin?

I did a ton of reading up on it last night as well as looking through a bunch of pics of the engine and tranny being apart. I'm very impressed at the build quality that I saw in the pics and the tranny case literally splits in half and exposes the gear shafts easily. I was expecting all kinds of strange things but overall, the drivetrain looks pretty straightforward and easy to work on.

The deal's not done so it's too early to know, but if I get it, I'll start going through it and decide if it will take the place of my GSX. If that's the case, I'll skip some of the upgrades/downgrades I'm doing now making a quick 16G car, make it mostly stock and sell it. If not, I'll sell it and find something else interesting to buy.

I really like that half of the Lotus owners also have or have had a Ferrari or other exotic. Kinda like a lot of us old DSMr's now also getting GT500's, Vipers and Z06's.

Re: It's Tax Time Again - Whatcha Gettin?

well I picked up a bike so most my tax return was spent on it. picked up all the riding gear I'd need helmet, jacket, gloves, boots.I also got a bunch of parts for it k&n air filter, power commander, tre mod, a 520 chain kit with -1 +2 sprockets, a speedo healer so the speedo reads right with the new gearing and a widescreen. and I'll probably have some more work done on the tat on my leg I'm working on
