Re: MAP Event @ BIR: Results!
Thanks for holding the event MAP. I had a good time. Thanks to everyone who helped me through my broken axle situation. Momin's car gave it's rear bumper to get us the parts.
I replaced the axle Saturday morning. Did 1 pass and the car just shut off on me (battery issue). Fixed it and was able to get one more pass in before competition started, but the car was missfiring bad. It's running very lean, and nothing I do in Link is working. It was mentioned that one of my 255's may have died, which kind of make sense. So that's when I decided to just call it quits and not compete, as I still had to drive the car home. Would have been real fun to compete, but oh well. It was nice to sit in the stands and watch some badass Q16 cars, and see the AWD competition!!
Congrats to everyone, lots of good times this weekend. I was pumped about my 10.93 @137. If anyone has a vid of it, please post it as my camera ran out of memory while my g/f was trying to record it

Bummer Brandon on the possible pump and camera running out of memory. It had to be tough sitting in the stands watching the competition as we certainly missed your car.
Hopefully someone has one of my 11.1 passes on video as I have nothing.

Sadly I don't have any video as my camera eats the contents of my memory card when I switch to video... however here are a few photos:

Great pics! Brandon really showed that rear axle who the boss was. And the MN 3/S group only made an impact in the car show. (well except for MustGoFaster ripping it up in the drags)
later,

Watching the competition in the stands was actually pretty fun. We got a video of you and Brad on that last run. I don't remember what you ran on that pass, but I thought it was an 11.1. It's on my g/f's camera, and I'll post up a link soon as she gets it off there (might take a couple days).

Looks like a good pass. The only thing I'm questioning is the 60', being nice to your clutch or were the tires not hooking up?

There is definately room for improvement yet, for sure. I seem to cut really consistent 1.8's. If I could get that 60' down to the 1.6's, I "should" be a bit deeper into the 10's. I usually slip the clutch for a split second, then dump it. I am pretty sure I'm spinning the wheels a little bit out of the hole also. My rear camber is horrible and can't be helping either. I did try launching a bit harder on one pass, and yeah that cost me an axle. I'm real happy I got in the 10's, but I do admit there is still plenty of room for driver improvement.

That blue stealth was amazing, so jealous of it. That guy with the s2k didn't move like the whole time, he was chilling in the corner by the bathrooms, nice car though.

Brandon, try a welded VC next time you have your tranny out, that might help a bit.
