Let's see if I can make it out. Maybe even this Saturday. This will be my first event and un tuned. I'll be glad to break 14's. Where do you guys get your helmets?

I just borrow my buddies motorcycle helmet

and If I ever get my car back together and my turbo holds up I'll definitely be out there to see what my car can do with the new turbo

Where did you get it from? Maybe someone rebuilt a 14b with a 16g wheel in it (and hopefully machined the housing to fit).

Previous owner of the Galant told me it was the Big 16g......have doubts about it now. ugh...oh well, better motivation to get an Evo 3 turbo for next year!

So who went this past weekend? For some reason I thought the next event was a week from today, but just read that it's Oct 25th. I was going to get my car all put together and somewhat tuned, but now I have even more time, I'll see if I can make the drive up from Iowa for this.

You guys should make the drive down to cedar falls that weekend instead of ricer falls, that way hopefully tech is a lot easier and the cars without a cage can make as many runs as they want.

^ true, but then again, I have a cage, and I get kicked out, oh well. I'll take the chance. It's not certified, I don't have a chute, and I don't have the gloves or neck harness stuff.

I have a pair of gloves, neckbrace, hell even pants you can probably borrow (I am a bit fat compared to you though) if you REALLY want to go to the track.

I know you enough that you aren't going to steal borrowed equipment. Let me know.

at rockfalls all you need is a helmet until you run 11.49-11.00 then you need a roll bar and when you hit 10.99 you need a roll cage as for other safety gear when your running 11.49 or faster there site says to refer to the nhra rule book

I assume that roll 'bar' is a 4 point and 'cage' is a 6 point? My car won't ever be that fast but I was thinking about putting in a 4 point just for belts.

Thanks Josh. Frankly, it's the end of the year, if I really get kicked out of the track, it would not offend me at all. They are kinda, "need it all or nothing" kinda basis. Besides, I'm concerned with traction, lanching, shifting, etc. I don't expect a great time at all. I know the car could MAYBE run a decent time, but can I drive it to that time? Who knows. First time ever at a drag strip, remember?
