could be the size of the turbo/mani runners, the 3" ic pipe, the q45, the jmf mani, etc. I dunno. I'm also on a 2.0l, not your fancy shmancy stroker..lol

It is at 8k under load, so it is the load issue at that rpm point, not the rpm in itself AFAIK.

about 70%. We think the filter is starting to clog up, as pressure is dropping up top. I can't imagine I'm running out of fuel with my "overkill fuel pump setup".

I'm using a Golan, and am keeping a close eye on it because I've heard of them failing under high boost.

1600s with an AEM are horrible. The stock Mitsu ECUs can run them 100x easier than an AEM. 1600s should not be used as a primary injector with an AEM EMS. You can play with dead time and injector phasing for hours and still have to run the A/Fs in the 12s at light throttle to get it not to misfire and buck. They are fine at higher load or on a drag only car. I won't run 1600s as my primary injectors on my car with an AEM and I have all the time I want to spend on trying to get it to run smooth. I run 1600s on my wife's car with a factory ECU and it's easy cheesy.
The car has an almost stutterbox sounding cut out that always hits at 7850-7900 RPMs. When it does it, the car loads up on fuel and runs like shit for a while until all the fuel clears out. Very weird. It isn't a plug or gap issue. It's too bad since the car was flawless on the dyno mechanically. No oil sprarying all over, no coolant blowing out, rock solid coolant temps, no I/C pipes blowing off.
His car seemed to move out pretty quick on the freeway though, it would walk away from me until he hit revlimiter or the cut out problem.
DSMLink with a stock ignition setup would make things a lot easier. I don't think anyone should run an AEM EMS on these cars, unless they need to run 8 injectors. And if stock igntion can make 1000whp, then why put on a COP system that don't work right 75% of the time.

I sorta wanna test a black top and a stock ignition setup, just to compare. I know that COP works though, it's been proven, and on paper should be better..so why does this shit suck? use all 4 channels on the msd? I dunno.
Sorry for "swerving" a bit shane..the car is rather loose under boost. As I'm sure you heard..the car doesn't like to downshift to 3rd..and sit there at a higher rpm..it bucks sputters etc..then you floor it and it does the same..THEN cleans up and goes..it kinda sucks..

I would let you borrow my Link setup and stock ignition setup for a day if it helped you troubleshoot your issues Swifty. But I think you're on SD which it really won't support.
I am jealous that you don't have coolant issues  I keep a cup in the car now for emptying out my overflow, and refilling the system.

Do what Shane and others have said, ditch COP and maybe AEM. Link should be a lot easier to work with too. Also smaller turbo and bam, problems fixed?

The COP systems you usually see on DSMs are cheap junk is the problem. You need good coils and a real CDI behind it like an M&W box. And why do COP if it's still going to run wasted spark. Every DSM COP setup I have had here at the shop has had very sketchy wires running to the coils also. Look at Curt Brown's last adventure to th dyno with a COP on the car.
