Re: New Toy
The Kook's headers and 3" catted X-pipe finally showed up Tuesday. Wednesday morning I took it for a spin and it sounds pretty good. There's no rasp to it down low and up high it has that exotic car sound. The factory dual mode exhaust is pretty cool. Basically each muffler has two outlets, one flows through the normal baffles to give it a mellow sound and the other runs straight through with a cutout right at the tip that opens at anything over 3,000 rpm's. Nifty stuff. SOTP meter says it picked up power all the way across, especially up top. The tuning software/hardware should be here by the end of this coming week so I can lean it out a little and add a little timing. It looks like the cold air kit will be here around the same time. If all goes well the bottle will be on it and tuned as soon as the CAI is in, which could be as early as next weekend.
Who doesn't like a 3,100lb car with a six speed and 630+ to the wheels?

Re: New Toy
Last night I took the Z-oh rollin' around Corpus and found a red Supra with a big single that wanted to play. With race fuel and tires he had run 11.40 @ 126 at the Viper vs. Supra shootout. He was on pump gas, so I wasn't scared.
He wanted to go from a 50 roll, I wanted a 40 roll. We met in the middle with a 45 punch. Three honks and we were off.
He got fucking smoked.
Bad.
Twice.
His buddy said he should try it again with some race fuel. I said we should try it again with a bottle in my car.
Damn, it feels good to be a gangsta.

Re: New Toy
Grats man! that thing looks nice.
My neighbor has one that makes a swoosh sound, has had it for at least a year now. The sound of the thing is unfreakenbeleivable when he drives by my house.

Dude, C6 Z06's are just plain fast. I am not sure what the stock times are for them but that Supra would still be slower in the quarter if it was running the times it did on race gas.
I know it doesnt take much to get these vettes into the 10s.

Re: New Toy
I haven't been to the track yet, but the Z-Oh is consistently pulling mid 120mph passes out at the local street race spot with just the headers installed. At this point it should be around 460'ish RWHP. In good weather and good track conditions the Z-Oh's are running low, low 11's bone stock and low 12's on slick tracks with newbie drivers. The fastest BONE STOCK Z06 ran an 11.20 on the original Goodyears and a 10.80 @ 130 on drag radials. Keep in mind, that's with fantastic weather and a great driver, so it's not the norm. My tuning junk should be here Wednesday and next weekend or the weekend after I'll have it on the dyno. I'm shooting for 505+ on the motor and 630+ on the bottle. BTW, I've only had it two weeks and it still has paper tags on it.
My buddy made me a .gif for the Supra owner. I know the Supra owner loves it. What do you think?
