Smile Got back last night after 21 hours of driving...

Cliffs notes at bottom:

Well as some of you may know, I like to take these yearly trips out to other parts of the country. Of course there are purposes behind them which are pretty much always car-buying related. The last trip to Utah.. well some of you know... went like shit and I spent an extra $2000 I shouldn't have had to. Friday's trip was awesome!

I flew out of here at 6am from the MSP airport, transferred planes 3 times to get to my final destination, Wilmington, NC. The last plane which was from Atlanta to Wilmington had been delayed twice. This freaked me out because I had to be to Wilmington by latest.. 4pm because the guys' bank was gonna close at 6pm and I had no clue how small/big the city was going to be to travel. So... as I was freaking out about the plane being an hour late ,I called him and tried to have everything straightened out. The guy who sold me the car(Kyle) is probably one of the coolest, most honest and straightforward dudes I've met in a while. Nothing to hide and more than willing to help me out in anything he could. Awesome kid.

So I get there and it's the smallest airport I've ever seen. It was awesome! Beautiful NC and I was there getting a beautiful car. As some of you already know, it's an Evo8. He picked me up and we headed to his bank. After that I had to drop him off at work and we got it all done by 5:45PM. Talk about time crunch. Kyle was quite sad as you could see from the expression on his face. He really didn't wanna sell the car but had to for schooling purposes. Smart kid, cause at least someone's got their priorities straight.

So I drove home ... from 6pm Eastern Time; drove through to Kentucky... it was 2:30pm ET, and I was dead tired. I'd only drove 400-500 miles. I wanted to drive at least 600. I pulled over to a rest stop and set my alarm for an hour of a power nap! I woke up, started driving again at 3:30am and was so damn tired by 4:30am I had to pull over and take another power nap. I woke up at 5:30am and drove all the way thru here because the sun was up and shining! The car made it through all the thunderstorms in the mountains. That was scary as hell because the tires are completely bald. Going 70mph with bald tires down a 6% decline in the mountains with pouring rain? Umm... freaky shit. I made it back to MN after non stop driving and one stop in Eau Claire to visit a friend. Made it back at 6:30PM CT... and damn. That was some crazy driving I really didn't think I'd be up for. And..... the car is home now. 2003 Blue By You (Blue) Evo8 now with 22k miles. I am happy, I couldn't have asked for anything better right now in life.

Cliff's Notes: Went on a trip to NC, long ass drive home, but I made it and now own an Evo!
