Re: Project V8killa

I think the stock feed line should be ok for that level. I wouldn't mess with the return until you get the fuel system working, then see how low you can get for base pressure. If you can low 40s with the walbro 450, then no need for a bigger return.

Is the new walbro 450 the same physical size as the walbro 400? Do you have flow rate comparisons between the two? Or is it just 50 more lph than the 400? If so I may be tempted to purchase one myself, it's a direct replacement for my OEM pump (same dimensions).

I'd love to see that!!

I say run the pump at 45-50 base and see what happens.

Re: Project V8killa

The 450 from what I read is exactly the same as the 400. The only difference is they made everything sealed for e85 fuel.

Yeah the plate that came with the car said V8KLLR. So I figured the thread topic would fit well.

Thanks man you have 2 awesome cars

Looks like it does flow 5-10% more depending on pressure. Standard Walbro 400:

Yeah I know it said with a BAP it could support 900 hp or something like that. But that's cool that it flows more than the 400.

Re: Project V8killa

I already an aeromotive FPR, and -6an lines to from filter to rail/rail to fpr. So once i get the car up and see what Im dealing with an lines might be the cheapest thing to do. Im not starting a car with a cut in the fuel line period.

Thanks for the heads up.

If you already have an AFPR and upgraded feed, then I wouldn't touch a thing.

Re: Project V8killa

I guess I'm getting confused. Maybe I just suck at reading, but I didn't hear any mention of something wrong with your fuel line until blackawdtsi said something, and I had no idea what he was talking about since I hadn't heard you mention it.

If your stock line is fubar'd, then yeah replace it with whatever you want. But a normal stock fuel line should be plenty. The I.D. of the stock lines are pretty close to the I.D. of a -6 line. So just go with whatever works. I'm pretty sure Kerry on here (95talonracer) has somme 2G parts cars, you might be able to swipe the line off it and might be the easiest and most cost effective route to go.

Good luck with it!

Re: Project V8killa

Yeah I'll have to look into to fixing it that's for sure. That's really the only thing you missed though. He mentioned the fuel line has been cut and alligator clamped together.

Thanks for your help so far! Always appreiciate it

Re: Project V8killa

450 lph and GCS3 cams showed uo today!

Still waiting on custom pistons. Once I hear there in I can pull the trigger on a turbo. Also Im ditching the magnus v5 and going with a jmfab race. Half the cost and probably will be more than what I need. So ill be ordering than tomorrow.

So this weekend I will be pulling the grey out of the car and installing all the black interior I have. Door cards/dash/handles/center console/rear speaker covers. Will also be wiring all my gauges so I will just have to hook up when motor is in.

I already have one like it. Not sure if its actually his or not Tom said something about it being one of the first made. I'll contact him and drop it off to see if it will work. Or is fixable.

One of maybe. I had the first made, it's on Little Andy Nash's 1g now. Though he really isn't around much more to comment on it.

Re: Project V8killa

I'm hoping to dyno test one of these this year. I didn't get a chance with the old car I was trying to do way too much in a short time.
Plus I want to do a good back to back test for him.

Yeah it would be cool to see. Maybe John will peak in here and comment on the manifold. Otherwise I'll send him a pm in a few days and see what he thinks.

Re: Project V8killa

So I got some work done and hopefully have the interior 100% by sunday. My pistons and rods hopefully will show up this week so I can run the new parts to Gosh and get my short block done in the next two weeks. Im gonna bring my head to so he can check everything over with the new cams I bought.

More parts I picked up today

2G carbon hood
Tenzo R red seats w/brackets I know there not the best brand but they are light and function perfect for what I need. Also these hold some sentimental value as these were one of the first things I bought for my red GSX back in 2005. Really the main reason why I picked them up.

Thanks Lor for the parts

ill post pics of interior this weekend. PG is closing fast and I have alot to do
