Overheating

I think i figured out what the little derbies are in the coolant. It looks like the gasket is kind of deteriorating so perhaps when it over heated so much some of it dissolved into the coolant. its as black as the gasket.

Its under the radiator cap . . . .more like just a little further up is a elbow where collant flows through the top hose into the engine. I need to brushen up on my vocab lol

I have a feeling the clearing of your snow/ice is going to take care of your problem if it was that packed with it. If you have gasket chunks floating around though, that's interesting.

As far as a coolant flush. Pop off the lower hose in your driveway, and let it all dump out, tada Plus your neighbors dog will probably thank you because they love that stuff.

It only takes one time over-heating for the coolant to go bad. Flush that out, make sure your fans are working and work on your driver skills.

Ill do both flush the coolant as well as shuffle the drive way and avoid snow banks.

I am hoping thats what it is. I had to go to work so i did not get a chance to perform the compression test ill test drive it after school 2mrw. Just to make sure everything is in working condition again.

Hey thanks halon there are this HUMONGUS CREATUERS ACROSS THE STREET! IF the stand up straight and raise there neck those things could lick the top of my ROOF!! IM NOT KIDDING LOL!

But Yeah i couldn't get the snow out with bare hands. Now that i think about it i ate a few snowbankz, plus coming in and out of the drive way during those super snowy days. My Front engine compartment splash shield is pretty much all gone!! I think the person before me made space for a front mount. Which would explain why all the shielding is gone.

Im just hoping i didn't warp anything regarding the stuff in the coolant ill take a picture tomorrow. Its not big chunks but you can see little black things floating around. DUMPAGE IT IS ;P
