Re: Im a dsmer again!

Well the dsm is now at its home here in maple grove. It was fun towing the dsm on the dolly in shitty weather with a v6 explorer, but all in all, uneventfull, no break downs no issues. Now im going to have my fiance and her sister help me push it up the driveway along with the snowblower! WOOT.

Haha, good to see you back in the game Tom. Just remember, if you don't know, don't guess, just ask. Good help is usually a pm away or a search.

Re: Im a dsmer again!

NO DAMAGE TO THE CRANK!!!! WOOO WOOO. Looks smooth as a babys bottom. no scratchs or anything. The rod cap did fall off on the number 4 piston. (by the way, manley rods look freakin beautiful). I will be needing 1 rod bolt though because it was bent. on the rod itself towards the outer edge where the bolt screws into will need to be grinded just a tad in order for the rod cap to sit flush again because there was a gouge in it. im just super thankful there was no damage to the crank or the rod where the bearing goes.

Re: Im a dsmer again!

There was just a thread on where to get ARP moly lube, go to DB, it's close to MG.
Unless you're just talking about assembly lube, then any oreillys should have that.

edit: I'd also consider buying a new rod at that point. Why mess around with gouged parts that you had to file down to fit right, especially on a part like that. Plus the rod bolt bent? Sounds like it's pretty messed up.

Re: Im a dsmer again!

Actually I have a huge tube of moly assembly lube, you can use it if you want, I'll probably never use it all. Come to the meet on Wednesday and I'll bring it.
