Re: Flat Black 2g
I think a semi gloss black looks pretty cool. The flat/primer black that was rattled can doesn't look so cool.

Re: Flat Black 2g
I know it's not really the same, but this type of paint job is pretty sweet too. It's just a grey base, no metallics or anything, with clear over it. As for the car, it's a '95 240sx with a complete R33 GTR drivetrain (RB26dett/AWD) They're running a single GT4088 on it

Re: Flat Black 2g
Wow, really hatin' on the grey. The flat black is so-so, but not liking the grey at all. Time to start putting huge metallic flake on like the bass boats!

Re: Flat Black 2g
Talon doesn't look bad at all. I like how he painted the rims bronze also. Stock sideskirts on it and it would look great.

Re: Flat Black 2g
Yea that talon looks legit. But a nice shiny gunmetal would like a million times better. And what the heck is up with a primer car and a finished hood? looks funny imo

Re: Flat Black 2g
The Talon is too round to have flat paint. That Lambo is the sex though!

Re: Flat Black 2g
I agree with Kevin. Those sideskirts are horrible on the talon as well.

Re: Flat Black 2g
I think that talon looks sexier just because with the flat paint it really allows you to study all the nice round curves.

Re: Flat Black 2g
I just don't like the way roundish cars look in flat paint. The car needs to be more boxy and angular to pull it off in my opinion

Re: Flat Black 2g
Thats it, if I ever get lucky/rich enough to get a Porsche its going to be flat black. There was a couple really hot 240sx's in there as well, and I thought the flat black AMS Evo was pretty sexy too. I thought that flat black/orange ferrari? was pretty sweet too, good link.

Re: Flat Black 2g
The spoiler needs to be removed and the side skirts/front clip needs to be swapped with 2gb accessories. The paint job and rim color is exactly the way I'm thinking. It has class but looks mean.

Re: Flat Black 2g
The problem here is this...The cars like the F430 that look super nice isn't flat. It is "egg shell" or matte. There is gloss in there. The cars that look like shit are because they have shit paint jobs or fail to realize that flat looks like crap. There has to be some gloss.
With that said I have contemplated painting my car a form of egg shell black for some time....However, I am afraid it is one of those colors that is far too hit and miss, it might look good but in a couple years am I going to end up repainting it because I got sick of the color? Probably.

Re: Flat Black 2g
Looks bad IMO, probably because of the rims, spoiler, and rear bumper. Definitely needs to be lowered more, amber sidemarkers, better looking rims, wingless, and 2gb rear bumper conversion. It could use bigger rotors and calipers for the bling.

Re: Flat Black 2g
That car looks like ass because of the paint job, IMHO. If it was red or something, it would look fine. It needs to be a satin finish at least, not pure flat.
