2005 CBR

so i picked this bike up from simple sport bike. I plan on doing a lot with this bike in the next couple of years. Right now the bike has full exhaust and a power commander 3 USB. I ordered a bunch of parts over this weekend. I bought BMC race filter, pc ignition module, pc quick shifter, 9 inch swingarm extensions, 150 link chain, front and rear sprocket. I went down 1 tooth in the front and went up 3 teeth in the rear. Oh I also bought a nitrous kit for the bike this weekend too. Hopefully I can get all the parts installed and get the bike tuned before I go to Chicago in June.

Trying to keep up with brad? Why get rid of the repsol if you got this bike?

Shits going to scoot with those mods! Photo shoot once you get it all on. Two stretched black bikes on spray ftw!

Re: 2005 CBR

Let me know how the extensions turn out. I am looking at the same setup but want to see what you think before I order them. I assume they are similar to Brads setup?

Little update today. My front sprocket came in the mail. I should get the rest of it tomorrow. Going to be a busy weekend.

Re: 2005 CBR

Well I got most of my parts today in the mail. I installed my swingarm extensions, new sprockets, and new chain tonight. Once I get my air filter and quick shifter I will install the rest of my parts.

Re: 2005 CBR

Looks good Paul! Gearing really helped wake that thing up. Can't wait to see what it can do at the track!

Re: 2005 CBR

Hopefully in the next week I will have the nitrous installed. I have the nitrous kit just waiting for my air filter so I can knock everything out at one time. Its going to move on spray. I want to get it tuned before I go to Chicago for the half mile racing

Wow I totally missed that you said you had a nitrous kit in your first post lol. Should be lots of fun when she's done!

Re: 2005 CBR

Well I installed the ignition module, quick shifter, and BMC race filters today. Had some problem with getting the quick shifter to work. But it works now but needs some adjustment. Hopefully the weather is nice Tuesday so I can get the bike on the dyno. Next weekend I will be installing the nitrous kit.

Re: 2005 CBR

If it was a gsxr I would turbo it. I can't stomach spending 5.5k on a turbo kit.

Re: 2005 CBR

Yeah that's up there. I think an rcc stage 1 for a busa/gxsr is like 4k. And those come with absolutely everything you need to get it up and running. Even a map for your power commander to get you up and running
