Top Wont Go Up/down

took the whole back of my car apart and took out both motors and one of them works but then you put you finger on the gear it just stops and the other one you do that and it doesnt stop, so i took the motor apart and a little thing is broken, not to sure if i need a new motor, im going to try everything i can to get it to work
