I've always wanted to do that but it looked like way too much work for being as lazy as I am. I also thought it would take out a bit of strength out of the back end.
Did the parts you cut out seem to weigh very much?
Also you plan on running any seats/interior? IT'll be hard without those rear seat hooks.
