Because non-smart phone owners are going to rally together and beat Curt's ass?

Online voting = badass! The vote tallying is always a wh0re to sit around and wait for, this should help a lot!
Don't forget to design it so that people can go look through a section of cars, vote, then go look through more cars, vote, go eat, hang out, go vote, etc etc. If you incorperated a list of the car's owners/vehicle info/etc with the voting info I think that'd be pretty cool....and help cut down on errors! I voted for god-knows-who last year when I voted for 705 (or something) and I went back to the car I voted for and realized it was completely the wrong number, 708 or something. Doh :P

If you don't register, you can't vote.

You'll still get a voting slip. It will have your secret code on it so you can vote online. I'd suggest still filling out your voting slip with a pen or pencil. Then once you are done, whip out your phone and do the actual online voting part.
Its impossible to add owner info to the car number and have that online, since that is done on the fly the day of the Cookout. The online voting thing will work out just fine. We'll have plenty of people to help out with the non techies.

Curt

Re: All Mitsu Cookout -- Saturday, August 28th, 2010
Hey everyone,
The Cookout is only 2.5 weeks away now. Looks like we are up to 89 sign ups.
I've finalized the categories for the show. New this year will be a category for the Evo Xs. We don't have any unused rows left in the parking lot, but there should be plenty of room in the row across from the other Evos, towards the end of that row. Here are the categories:
Best 90-94 DSM
Best 95-99 DSM
Best 00-05 Eclipse/Stratus coupe
Best 91-93 3/S
Best 94-99 3/S
Best Evo I to IX
Best Evo X
Best Galant
Best Other Mitsu
The "Gene Helms" Cleanest Car Overall
Also, our block of rooms at the Hampton Inn go away on August 16th. So any out-of-towners looking for a room, book it now! We will also have a bonfire at my house after the Cookout around 7pm. So any out-of-towners or other people that want to extend a day of Mitsu fun, can join in. I live about a mile away from where the Cookout is located at.
Thanks,
Curt

Re: All Mitsu Cookout -- Saturday, August 28th, 2010
Well my car is officially a 50/50 chance so I may not be there with my car. I will go still, but may not have the car.
Curt, hopefully that doesn't affect the Evo X category, sorry for registering already, the build took a bit longer than expected which should have been expected, lol. I still really hope I can make it.

I've ordered the trophies already, so there will be an EVO X category for sure. With the people who will show up and not actually sign up ahead of time, I'm guessing we'll still have 5-10 EVO Xs there.
later,
Curt
