I am going to have to side with Loaf somewhat on this. The things being shown are very tame compared to things that have happened in previous wars. Is it right? No, but things take time to change.
Also, a picture doesn't tell the story. How do you know that prisoner wasn't mistreating the guard? Maybe he spit on her right before that? It is just like a foul being called in sports, the 2nd guy always gets busted. I am just playing devil's advocate here, but people need to keep an open mind and not jump to conclusions.
As for the beheading, that is part of the risk of what he was doing. He was looking for great financial rewards, but he knew we were at war. He was willing to accept those risks and happened to pay for it. Same thing as the gold rush out in California back in the day.
Enes, there was more politics involved in the Bosnian conflict from our side. Everything over there was in chaos and we didn't know what was happening with the soviet union. I know the UN did help some of the states, but even that only seemed to be in extreme situations. This seemed to be a more natural civil war, where we had to start the civil war in Iraq.
I still think Iraq should just be East Texas.
