New wheels on the X
Finally bit the bullet and put some new wheels on the x. These are intented to be DD wheels, they will get beating on my 80 mile day commute. For that reason, opted for slightly harder rubber then my Auto-x setup for longetivity reasons. They look great, are super quiet, ride is plush, and grip is still good compared to the Star Specs. I will report back on the wet performance.
Thanks to Mike @ RSMotors for the awesome deal on the wheels, you guys rock!
Anyways these are Rota G-forces 18 x 9 in Gunmetal +30 Offset. Tires are Hankook Ventus v12 Evo in 245/40R18 sizing:

Looks great in teh pics, should be even better in person.
I think it works well because the car already has black accents.

Yep, my crappy cell camera is not up to the task, they do look way better in person.
Thanks everyone for the compliments, the best thing about rotas is that they are cheap to replace if you happen to do something stupid.
I didnt mention it, but I also modded the centercap with some uber fake CF vinyl. I know it is a little ricey, but it is better then the rota centercap insignia's with this color wheel.

I've never been a fan of black wheels, but they look nice.

Re: New wheels on the X
Update: Rained heavily this morning on my commute and happy to report the the Kooks are excellent in the wet as they are in the dry. Grip is still good in the corners and the there is not hint of hydroplaning @ 80 mph in heavy puddles. Give the Hankook Ventus v12 Evo's a solid thumbs up if you are looking for a budget perfomance tire.
