I stopped caring about my pile a while back.

But I'd still have flipped a shit and asked for insurance info or straight cash on the spot, because whether you fix it or not, that's still money in your pocket. What's a parent doing dragging a kid to Best Buy anyway? Cell phone time for your 4 year old?

Shit, like I said before I wish I would have gotten info or demanded some cash on the spot. But eh, what can ya do. Next time something like this happens i'm throwing the gloves down and fightin' dirty!
