Re: 2009 Fall Dyno Day - Oct 3rd @ MAP

Here's the sheet MAP printed off. The tach signal to the dyno kept falling off mid-pull so this was the best they could give me.

One run on pump was 430whp, I'll have to get that one out of them. The car performed very consistent, I'm very happy with the setup now, specifically my boost control setup. I didn't have error correction on when I was at DB last time as we were dialing it in for the tune and then I dialed in boost correction on the street to make it as perfect as I could. As a result, I compared logs and am running about 1psi less on this dyno session (on pump gas) than I was at shane's. Not a huge difference, but notable I guess. It's almost exactly how I run it on the street so I'm happy AFR's 11.0 spot on.

On the alky map boost seemed almost spot on with how I run it on the street. Timing was about 1-2° lower than my 432whp tune at DB, I'm guessing due to the different loading characteristics of the dyno. I also changed out my brandX meth 50/50 mix with VP M1 mixed 75/25 with water, so AFRs went from ~11.8 to ~11.3. I will be switching back to 50/50 I think. It was worth a shot but it didn't help me on the street or on the dyno at all.

Overall I'm happy, the car is consistent and running strong. I would have liked to get closer to or break 500 but meh, last minute changes FTL, plus my luck sucks so I'll never be the guy who magically makes extra power. I'm NOT pushing the setup hard so maybe next year push the turbo and timing a lil more to fill the gap b/w me and the FP red guys running 33-35psi and making 515-520whp

I think you have one of the best sounding cars, as far as exhaust note goes.

Wow, thanks! Buschur TBE w/ bullet testpipe and the magnaflow axleback.

Nothing was as quiet as that supra though, man that thing was silent....and I don't think anything was as loud as that vette aside from the FDSM!

Do love the V8 sound but a few decibels less would be okay at 500hp.

Re: 2009 Fall Dyno Day - Oct 3rd @ MAP

I wanted to thank everyone involved with setting up the dyno day. To answer the questions about the 1G: it’s a GT42R on E85, not E98, boost spiked to 39 and settled to 36-37. I’m super happy with my results, the 1G was more of a shakedown run on the dyno. I would have been happy with 700 on the 1G, so 787 was above and beyond. 500 was the goal for the Evo. The evo was fine tuned, but the 1G barley made it to the rollers with its tune. I have a 400+WHp 1G winter car It feels fast, the evo feels much faster, and the 1G is downright awesome. I know I can make more power with the setup tuned on E98 and more boost. Currently at this level I’m more than happy with it. Next year the car will be on E98, I just need to get some barrels delivered to my house. Thanks again.
