Have you ever checked the ECT sensor (Engine Coolant Temp), when they go bad they give a ridiculous temp reading and the ecu doesnt know what to do. Ive had a few of those go bad causing many a headache.

This is why I asked about the CEL that he said it has. When mine is unplugged it'll flood my car out causing it not to start. (obviously)

Sometimes the lil bugger wont even throw a CEL....
