You can put a bolt in that bs hole, just be liberal with the thread locker or thread sealer.

Re: Yep..another one.
Seems to be one thing after another, nothing big but still. Timing belt is still rubbing, in a different spot. So will tear it down again, and figure it out. Hoping brakes will be here tomorrow, picked up rear rotors today.

Re: Yep..another one.
Missing a bolt.... Was there a BS belt on there or was it elimintated by someone? Odd that the car went from running to these timing issues... Had a ton of DSMs apart and never had the timing belt rubbing issue...

Re: Yep..another one.
I have a feeling the cover is rubbing somewhere, and there was no balance shaft belt or pulley.

Re: Yep..another one.
Fixed the rubbing issue, installed brakes, and got her moving today!!!! Big thanks to julian for helping out us SAFC challenged folks with the tuning, and getting her running great. Pulled awesome, so awesome that we blew a whole in one of the couplers...hahaha. Very nice to have a running dsm again.

Re: Yep..another one.
Ran into a little issue, after the initial test and tune (which was very sucessful) the car was running great and idling well. Shut it off, and go to start it again a little later, and the safc wouldnt turn on. Fixed that issue, but then it keeps blowing a fuse. I will get which fuse it is, and more details, just kind of frustrating.

Re: Yep..another one.
It's the mpi 20a fuse that keeps blowing, which isn't allowing my ignition to turn on.

Re: Yep..another one.
Maybe check the connections on the SAFC for the fuel wires? They are the only 2 wires which are cut and not tapped.
If I remember correctly the MPI fuse is for the fuel system. I think you pull that during a compression test so it doesn't spray fuel. I could be wrong, it has been a long time.

Re: Yep..another one.
If we link the two, it gets hot and blows the fuse. Without the mpi fuse installed the ignition will not engage.

Re: Yep..another one.
Sounds like you have a short somewhere. I'd check the wiring to the SAFC again to make sure something isn't touching the chassis or that something isn't wired correctly.
