Built Black 95 GSX in need of tranny

if the hole, or its leaking towards the back of the tranny, its probably your center diff, from the symptoms you have presented. The hole can be welded and the center diff can be easily replaced. Even with the tranny still in the car, as long as it didnt take anything else with it.

From what I understand, the transmission is the problem......according to my brothers mechanic.

The center diff is inside the transmission.

The car still has 1st and reverse I guess and if it was the dif, I don't think it would move at all.
