Re: So my car needs a new engine...

It would need a rehone with new internals. If you other deal falls through, let me know. I have a shop, engine hoist, air tools and everything you would need. I can also help with the job as I am going to school right now and not working.

Back at Metro State?

If I were you, I would just grab a junk yard motor from car-part.com. If you look around you will be able to find one with a warranty. I have gotten a motor with a 2 year extended warranty and a tranny with a lifetime warranty.

Worth looking into if you are looking to keep the car for a while.

Re: So my car needs a new engine...

I've decided that rebuilding it is the way to go. I'll know the history on the engine and really don't have to worry about it, since I'll be making it. I just don't wanna worry about what I'm getting, warranty or not. I'm also gonna do the clutch, flywheel and a complete gasket set. So I think that I won't have to worry about this thing for a while.

Plus I've also been playing around with the idea of saving up over next winter and puttin' a turbo on it, since it'll be a new engine and I can just make it fun and reliable, nothing too crazy, it's just a 626
