It is for the reason he killed himself that I am happy to have broken up with my girlfriend. I saw the future as a dismal, unhappy place, and it was better now than down the road with a couple of rug rats. That guy didn't realize his mistake until too late, but that's not the point. The point is that he lacked the fortitude to go through with it all. Yes, emotional pain can seem really bad, but it's not worth taking your life.
I would rather spend life in prison alive, than end it all now.
