if you count 5 or 6, you have a very high perception and the logical part of your brain tends to be more in control that your imaginative part.
what happens here is that the brain tends to think that the word "of" is spelled like with a "v".
ask a child (boy or girl) to count the "F"s and usually they will always catch 5 or all 6, because when they are learning and beginning to read, the logical part of their helps them decifer what they are reading.
