I've heard the HKS ones have a built in cpu that actually learns as it goes. Every place I've seen them, they are cheaper than the Apexi counterparts. I guess it's just what you're used to using. Sometimes something may be better but if you don't understand it, you won't get anything out of it. It's all up to what you (or your tuner) are used to.
