Care to expand upon the "CFD and engineering?" What'd you run CFD models in, Fluent? As soon as I can afford it, I have some OEM parts that I'm going to send off to get CAD models of and hopefully then run some CFD models.

I used solidworks to make the model proto-type. I use FloWorks for the lighter CFD stuff and Fluent for the more extensive stuff. Yes I ran load simulations but I honestly dont know how accurate they are considering that is not even the exact design on how it turned out. It is also hard for me to find out exactly where the load would be placed and at what direction, etc, etc... I mainly used the load testing part on small certain clusters. Another reason I couldnt really do much of the load testing is the way I stuck all the piping together. I did it in a way that none of them are technically connected in solidworks.... that way I could make a parts list with lengths and even print out the coped cuts for each pipe should I want to.

If you want let me know what the parts are and if it isnt too complicated Ill draw them up for ya.

Hopefully the FEA will at least isolate the major stress concentration areas so you can address those.

That's the problem; they're rather complicated. I plan to send them to Advanced Design Concepts in Pewaukee.

Where is this thread at?
