Was anyone else in your house at the time besides you and youf gf? There's always the possibility of you forgetting you ever put it in the garage or turned your car off, kinda like a short term memory loss for some reason, but I'm not saying it happened. Just another possibility that popped up in my head.
If that happened to me, I'd be freaked out a bit though. Just curious, how was it running for 10-15 minutes and you not go check on it? If I ever heard a loud car that sounded like mine I'd go check . Creepy stuff though. Call in Gary Spivey (I think that's how you spell it), World's Most Gifted Psychic, and have him send the "demon" away.
