nitrogen is a very stable gas and dosn't change much under different temps. That is why it is used in shocks. I have read that some tire places are starting to offer it, although I havn't heard of any in particulre.

turbotralon1g; any idea how much it cost to have your tires filled with it at TP?

Re: Nitrogen?

A guy came into work today and was talking about filling his tires with nitrogen. He said it was something like $4 per tire to do it. That seems awful steep to me? I am not sure where it was either, didnt bother to ask.

If it is better and safer I would do it, but I also have $900 (total not each) rubber on all fours. Not including rims.

Safer, not any more or less safe than regular air. Better, only if you're on a track and a couple PSI difference can throw off your setup.
