Trip to Cedar Falls/Tristate?
Anyone else down for a trip to tristate or CF? I know Carey and Josh are worried about getting booted, I am as well. In Ia they don't seem to care what you run. The tracks also hook a lot better than RF.
I was toying with heading to the test n tune at Tristate on the 29th, but that is pretty short notice. I am open the next 2 weekends as well.

Fuck'n A I'm waiting for some of you guys to get to Tri State and actually get some runs in and score some fast times. I'd make the trip down and then invite people back to my folks place for a little drinking down on the farm! Go on a Sat morning, get drunk Sat night, back to MN Sunday. HOOO RAH!

I'd tag along. It's the last weekend before I head back to work.

If I'm in MN, and my car is back together, I'd be down.

I wish I could go. I doubt if they'd really care about the cage rules down there.

Re: Trip to Cedar Falls/Tristate?
No, they don't care about a cage at all. That is the reason to go down there! That and they actually prep the track so you can hook up. I will be towing down too, so if someone else breaks (and I don't!) then you have a ride back up if you pay for gas.

Re: Trip to Cedar Falls/Tristate?
Jet, are you still bringing a trailer? If I get these pumps installed, I'd be tempted to drive down. That'd be a rough trip with my full exhaust dumping right at the front crossmember. Maybe I'll wear my helmet all the way there, it's got great soundproofing.

Re: Trip to Cedar Falls/Tristate?
I am not going to make it tomorrow. Cedar Falls is open the next few weeks and I may go next weekend, but it is a maybe right now. Too much stuff going on!

Yeah, same here. Too busy today to work on my own car. Guess I'll shoot for next week.

Re: Trip to Cedar Falls/Tristate?
There is a 3/S event at Cedar Falls Raceway on September 16th. Its a test and tune, but there will be 5-10 3/Ses there. I'm probably driving down there and staying over. Might be a fun event for some DSMers to go to.
later,
Curt

He is talking about at the track (where it counts!) and the land yachts don't do as good there 3/S vs. DSM?

Re: Trip to Cedar Falls/Tristate?
I think I am going back there this weekend. Try to run a 12 in the GTP before I demod it and sell it. I was really close last time 13.05@107, if the Supercharger belt wasn't slipping I am pretty sure it would have knocked out a 12.99@109 or so which is about right for my mods. The best 60' I could pull was a 2.015.
Its not that fast but decent for a 4000 lb GM product.
