Re: All Mitsubishi Cookout and Car Show -- August 19th, 2006

Do we need to register if we arent planning on showing a car but are planning on eating and being there all day?

If you have a running Mitsu, you should really bring it and have it in the show. No one cares if you have ultra low gloss paint and more door dings than you can count. Its about getting together and bringing out your ride.

Now if you don't have a running Mitsu, but plan on coming, you should still register and then just let me know a couple weeks before the show whether you are bringing a car.

Thanks,
Curt

I'd put my ugly car in there just for fun. Who knows hopefully it will be half way cleaned up by then....

Sounds like a good time I'll be there!

This might be a dumb question, or maybe the answer isn't even out yet, but just in case I'm going to ask anyways. Is there any idea on costs yet? I'm thinking about putting my car in the show because I might have it painted by then so it might look a little better. But I remember last year there was something about having yor car entered and having a passenger with you plus eating and it was all one cost. Just wondering how that will work.

I am really excited for this. I was disappointed that I couldn't go last year because it was on my birthday but this year its a few days before so I have cleared that day. Pretty sweet that Mitsu has agreed to send out those prizes!

Let's put it this way, if you can't afford the cookout price you probably can't afford the gas to get there anyway.

Last year it was $5 for you, a guest and your car with all the food you could eat. I'm guessing this year Curt will be shooting for the same price but I think there are a few more expences with using the school so we'll see.

It's the best bang for the buck fun out there!

I'm hoping to keep it at $5. That includes the car, driver and one guest. Until I get all the sponsors locked down, I won't know the for sure price. A worse case scenerio would be $10. But its looking like it will be $5. Its just not official yet.

And regardless what your Mitsu looks like, if it runs, you need to bring it.

later,
Curt

Well I wasn't concerned about not being able to afford it, I was just thinking about how it seemed to me last year putting your car in the show regardless was a better deal than just showing up.

I'll bring mine. Just for S & G's

Hey everyone,

Wow, we've already got 47 cars signed up for the Cookout. Thats awesome! Keep them coming.

I'd also like to thank both Brookdale Mitsubishi and LSE Performance. They are both main sponsors for the All Mitsu Cookout. And because of there sponsorship, we'll be able to keep the price of the Cookout at $5.

later,
Curt

I registered but will not be showing my car as in its current state, I don't trust it for more than 20 feet of driving. I did however list my car when registering for the Cookout because it wouldn't let me register unless I listed something. My goal is to have my car ready for the '07 Cookout.

Understandable. I am only an hour away and am not sure if I can trust it. I dont ever have time to work on the thing.

Anyway, I will register with a friend who will be bringing his car. I did that last year and it worked.
