Yeah, so I got a flat yesterday. Normally I wouldn't bitch too much about it, but I was on my bicycle and ran over a piece of glass, and well, yeah. I got a flat. I was about 8 miles from home. And this was on the bike I just bought that probably only has about 100 miles on it. Of course I didn't have a patch kit, or a spare tube, or even a tire pump. Fortunately I was smart enough to at least bring a cell phone. So I got a ride home, blah, blah, blah, $60 later I have a new tire, new tube, and an air pump.
I guess it wasn't too bad, it could have been worse. The new tire I got is a little heavier, but alot more durable than the other one, so hopefully this wont happen again.
Moral of the story, if you go biking, make sure that you at least have a patch kit and an air pump. Oh, and maybe a cell phone.
