brakes clunk
okay so ive searched [via search, and on talk and tuners] around and i cant find anyone with a similar problem. just recently i have been experiencing thump/clunk/grind noise when braking that is speed dependant [faster speed when braking faster thump/grind, vise versa]. this only happens after the car is moving for like >10 mins and it only happens when stopping under 20 mph. i am stumped. i have brembos [slotted/drilled], and i know they make noise when stopping but i have had them for a year and it never did it untill just like acouple weeks ago. i work at nissan so i put it up on the hoist and i checked to see if anything was binding [pads etc] and nothing. so just to make sure i started checking everything. with the wheel off i rotated the hub to see if there was any rubbing... nothing. but with the wheel on i grabbed my wheel and rocked it up and down to check for play and there was some. i am going to pick up a front hub/wheel bearing tonight but i honestly dont know if thats it because wheel bearings usually hum when they are going bad. any suggestions?
kyle-
btw i checked the cv boots, they are fine. also it is ONLY when stopping not turning.
