Well I am regretting getting my mac, but it's a little too late for that. I finally got dsmlink installed on my laptop and I was really excited because it wasn't easy. (macs are somewhat new to me). Anyways, my buddy sold me dsmlink and he included the $35 9 pin usb to serial cable. The cd that came with this cable is for windows 98 or greater. Unfortunately, macbooks are not "greater" haha. This is the cable I have.

I did some searching and found that I need the software for the usb installed (usually these things are automatic). This is when I found out that the cd I have is for windows 98 and greater, like I previously stated.
I found a site that explains how to download software for this cable onto the computer on

www.keyspan.com. But after trying and failing and talking with somebody from their help line, we concluded their software will not work with this usb cable.
I would like to mention that I posted a thread on this on the dsmlink forums, and I have had very little response, which is why I'm trying this forum.

After searching on the forum and on google I still have a few questions:
Is there a software out there that I can download to get working with this usb?
If you are running dsmlink with a mac, what usb cable are you using?
