If you haven't shopped around the turbo manufacturers or big retailers yet, I'd bet you could get a turbo sponsored with the promise of some magazine coverage and attend some big races. Building something that nobody else is currently doing attracts sponsors. You might get stuck with some shitbag like Slowboy, or you might actually get some good sponsorship, it's worth a shot.
