Slightly too young for most of these, but I happen to like queensryche and scorpions and white snake. Are these supposed to be all horrible songs or somthin, cause their like all the popular ones...

Re: VH1s 40 Most Awesomely Bad Metal Songs
They are idiots if that is there list. There are a few on that list that could stay there, but most don't belong. And actually many of those don't really qualify as metal.

Looks like most of the list is pretty accurate but i would have put A LOT more Ac/dc in there.

Yeah, that list is dumb as hell. They are out of their minds! Some of the songs suck, but there are a lot of good tunes in that list.

Re: VH1s 40 Most Awesomely Bad Metal Songs
Corporate media brainwashing is all that list is. Those songs are out of favor because they are mostly '80's, but 90% of that list is great songs. What's bothering the record companies and MTV right now are all the '80's format radio stations that are popping up around the country. The '80-'90's had some of the best music ever.
04) Poison - Unskinny bop - should actually be #1 on that list.
All those songs were actually hits for most of those bands. The list would have been more believable if they listed songs from those bands that were some of their worst offerings, not their hits.
Songs that definately don't belong on that list;
33) Dio - The Last in line
23) Dokken - Breaking the chains
20) Danzig - Mother
16) Queensryche - Silent lucidity
15) Whitesnake - Here I go again
11) Autograph - Turn up the radio
08) White Lion - Wait

When Cali falls in the ocean, I am going to party for two days straight you flake. AC/DC is way above anything your sally-ass pistol grip ears are used to.

That list sucks. To many songs that are on there that shouldn't be and some that should be on there that aren't

The guitarist is good. That's about it. Scott Stap or whatever his last name is, should not be "singing".

Re: VH1s 40 Most Awesomely Bad Metal Songs
true, that's why i'm into the new creed - without scott stap, you know - Alter Bridge, lead singer being Miles Kennedy, saw them live, that band is truly going to be something special once they get out a few more albums. amazing band guitar player and singer

Re: VH1s 40 Most Awesomely Bad Metal Songs
Eh........ still not an AlterBridge fan at all. Vocals and style are still too similar to Creed.

Re: VH1s 40 Most Awesomely Bad Metal Songs
I'm guessing the VH1 crew that came up with that list has an age average around 25. Those who were actually around for that era would appreciate most of those tunes. That Danzig song sucks the hair off a donkey's nuts though.

You see that's the biggest problem when people talk about '80s music. Everybody wants to concentrate on hair and clothes. It was about the music you dumbasses. Those of you who think like that are the ones that fell for that corporate brainwashing. There were many great bands that were very successfull before and without MTV. Pink Floyd, Metallica (oh my God, they were an '80s band too), Journey, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Ozzy Osbourne, Iron Maiden, Rush, Triumph, Frank Zappa, Bad Company, Queensryche, Dokken, UFO, etc, etc, etc.
I don't worship Creed, but they were a good band. They are like the Spice Girls, nobody ever admits to liking them, but they somehow sold millions of cd's, go figure.

That's true, it was about the music... and I still dislike the music produced by those bands you listed. They also just happen to be hair bands also . It's ok, I am only 10 years old. All I listen to is Ashlee Simpson and Jennifer Lopez.
