You just built a nice new house....
What's ONE specific thing you have to have inside. Be it a pad new house for yourself or a family what is the one thing you can think of that your definatly gonna have. Pool table? Killer bar? Hot tub? What?
I was just thinking about this for some stupid reason and I think the one thing I would love to have would be a killer cooking surface. Instead of a reg stove I would have to have one of those big ass grill surfaces that you see at places like Bennihannas where they cook so much shit right out in front of you. Otherwise I'd be down for my own fountian pop set up!

A huge garage, with an apartment above so when the wife gets pissed instead of having to go to the couch you can just move out without having to go to far.

Re: You just built a nice new house....
I'd need a soundproof room with a huge stereo theatre system with seating for alot. It'd also have a 15 car garage.
These would be necessities as the day I'm going to have money to build a new house is the day I will have enough money for many pleasures.

Re: You just built a nice new house....
My requirement would be...expensive land in a prime location, so its value increases 10 fold.
I'd also like a poker room, indoor pool, a 'few' car garage, etc...

Garage with a lift, air conditioning, air compressor (away from the garage), epoxyed floor, stocked fridge, etc.

Re: You just built a nice new house....
I will be buying a home sometime this year. I already have a hoist/lift, I just need to find a garage I can fit it in.
I am with Cher on that I would want a theatre room that could seat at least 10-15 people comfortably.

Re: You just built a nice new house....
I would like to have a showroom/gameroom/entertainment room. My house would be on a hill with a walkout basement, and a driveway that went around back. Basically the whole basement would be open with tall ceilings. In one corner I would have a tiled area with recessed lighting, where I could park my NSX and Ferrari durring the winter. I would display them like trophies, rather than stuff them in a garage with a car cover. In one corner I would have a pool table and a dart board. In one corner I would have a sectional and about 4 lazy boys in front of a 6 foot drop down screen and projector. And of course a big sound system with speakers throughout the basement. In the last corner I would have a big bar, with a fridge, beer tap, and a full supply of liquor. There would be a door right there walking out to a big grill with outdoor seating and a hot tub. Oh yeah, I'd probably put a bathroom down there somewhere too.

Hey, don't get pissed at us, you bought the scorchers not us. Man some people get grumpy when they miss their sleep time.
Theater and recording studio for the INSIDE OF THE HOUSE. Now go take that nap with the rest of the kiddies, you youngster.

Re: You just built a nice new house....
For me.. hmm...
a nice designed house inside and out.. with a livable plan and layout...
A garage where i can have one stall to work on cars with some sort of lift and few tool boxes... insulated and preferably heated, with a nice driveway and nice yard with lots of lowers, plants and trees...
In the house i'd like to have every room wired up for internet and speakerphone/interphone between rooms etc..
in the basement i'd like a computer room in one side and the other side to have a projector for watching movies with few lazyboy sofas and a confortable couch that can be pulled out for ocasionall late night movie and stay there and sleep.
Decent kitchen with plenty of space.. with a walkout deck with a nice stainless grill that is a 3 season porch as well..
Plenty of room in the back for a 40 x 100 shed and a garden for vegetables next to it...
Is that too much to ask for?

Re: You just built a nice new house....
A sweet arcade/bar/night club. I would have an array of vintage and new arcade games with a huge bar. Surrounding the bar would be bar tables and some really comfy couches for lounging. Oh, some foosball, darts, and a pool table too.

Re: You just built a nice new house....
I've had this thought for about 15 years, this isn't too far off in my future. I want a complete game room downstairs with about 50 classic stand up video games from the early eighties. Zaxxon, Donkey Kong, Asteroids, Dig Dug, Hamburger Time, Lunar Lander, Missile Command, yada yada. And of course there'd have to be a decent bar to go with it, games and cocktails go hand in hand.
If I really had the cash and the space, I'd put in a small roller rink with a killer sound system and the old style lights and disco ball.

I second the recording studio. Big enough for a full band to practice of course.
