Good snap ring pliers?

What snap ring pliers are some of you using? I’m having a heck of a time finding a pair that will open wide enough for turbos.

Re: Good snap ring pliers?

Those are both too small for what you need. They will either bend or snap when you try to get the big snap ring out of the turbo. Go with a little beefier snap-on or Mac or Matco. Otherwise you could borrow the one that I have.

Re: Good snap ring pliers?

I appreciate the offer to use yours but the reason why I'm looking now is 'cause I don't need any. And because this is a late christmas gift, I was to busy before christmas to find the right pliers. Where did you get yours from though?

Snap on stops by work so I'll look into that along w/the mentioned brands.

Re: Good snap ring pliers?

They're pretty much the same off all 3 tool trucks. The snappy ones are the most expensive(of course), the mac and matco ones are reasonably priced though.
