installing Tach, no previous tach

This is a honda civic 91. The car did not have a tachometer and we have decided we are putting one in. My question for someone like Eric, how can you wire this up when there is no tach line to tap into? Everything else is wired up and mounted, now it is just this "green" wire that we have no idea where to put it. Thanks for the help if anyone can!!

You can hook it to the cam sensor or the negative side of the coil.

When its hooked up, it just automatically can read it? Or does it just measure something electrical? I wish I really knew how it worked. I'm not sure if they figured it out yet, but if they haven't, i will be sure to let them know what you told me. Thanks a lot eric.

You may have to adjust the tachometer for the number of cylinders as well.

I think you have to set if for the amount of cylinders yea. I read that somewhere on the instructions.

They had it all done correctly by the time I saw the car next! Everything works, they did what you said to eric. Thanks a lot.
