What do you do when the largest tyhpoon in 30 years hits, and they make you spend your entire 3 day labor day weekend at work because of it? Well you go out and play in the 100+ mph winds of course and make paracutes outta trash bags and let em drag you around!!

Most of these pics are in like 60mph wind, because we couldn't bring camera's out in the 100+ winds because they woulda got ruined. But here's all of us making rain suite to go out into the 100 mph winds. We still got drenched. Just imagine driving down the freeway at 100 with your hand out the window when its pouring out. It hurts a little, and imagine it hitting all over you body. It was freakin nuts. The chubby dude in grey actually got blown over when he first walked out the door because he wasn't expecting it to be that strong! BTW, those rain suits we made didn't do shit!

My thought's exactly. I guess that goes to prove the old saying "Our hard earned tax dollars at work....."
Looks like fun though. :bounce:

Forget the trash bags, get a tarp and some roller blades! the downside to that is no one would ever see you again. :goodluck:

Ha did you say work? We actually got both radars here up and workin. One radar had been down for a good 2 1/2 years, the other one has been limited for about 2 years. Me and some other non-radar tech's got them both up and working for the first time in a long time. Kinda suprised all the guys in charge. Got a lil pat on the back. So now that that's all workin, it's time to enjoy this island! One of the many marine corps sayings is work hard, then play HARDER!!!

You kinda get a choice yes. Being in MN, you will go to boot camp in diego, no going around that. Then you will go to your school. You get to chose your job before you even join, and you will be automatically sent to wherever that school is. Mine was Pensacola, FL. Then from then on, they will let you pick the region you want to go to. Your choices are East Coast, West Coast, or Japan. I chose West Coast outta school, hopin for like diego or LA, but ya I got fuckin Yuma. Then I was just randomly chosen for the Japan orders. Couldn't have picked a better time, because my Yuma unit is now in Iraq so I got outta that nice and clean!!! If you join the military tho, look at the AF, they live like kings compared to any other branch, they don't have as many of the retarded rules, and they have all the hot chicks too!
