All washers move freely except 4 one. I honestly believe the on stubborn stud and washer is the issues.

Re: head fused to the block ?

Got as many studs out as we could then pried like hell with a 3' pry bar, used the power steering bracket for leverage.

He's going to have to pull the motor now and hone the cylinders and re-ring it though, there was some surface rust on the cylinder walls from coolant getting in and sitting.

Ended up removing all the head studs except 3 (stripped ones)

Then used a 3 1/2 ft pry bar.

Hammer and elbow grease.

She finally lifted up. I have pics. But I dont know how to post them :/

Alot of corrosion!

Definitely going to need to hone the block. Guessing the head is trash ?

But didnt see anything melted. And the weird part is all the fire rings on the head gasket were intact ???

Re: head fused to the block ?

Well, the 3 remaining head studs that did not want to come out were VERY tough to turn with a vicegrips on them. I don't know if that means that the block could be warped and making the holes oval shaped or what?
