I recently noticed a problem with my seatbelt. It will click in and appear to latch, but if you pull on it hard enough, it will pull out.I remember noticing this a couple years back on another 2g, anyone else have this problem?

That sounds like a serious safety issue. Recall worthy. Back when I had my Nissan Pickup, I got a recall notice for a similar issue, except this is where the red plastic part would crack and not allow the seat belt to buckle. I got them replaced for free.

Most current car manufacturers have lifetime warranties on their safety restraints. As long as they have not been tampered with. Give mitsu a call and find out what you can get done. You may have to call mitsu usa to get something done about it though. I know Honda has that program. I can't remember if it's by law now or not.

:bounce: I have harnesses and haven't ever had an issue with the stock ones, but then I rarely used the stock ones.

Yeah I got my belts replaced for free in my 87 accord last year. Then a few months ago I was at Brookdale Mitsu looking at an Evo with my buddy and I went in to check if they would do the belts for free because mine were fucked. They said it would cost some INSANE ammount to replace the belt.

1g factory seatbelts have a safety recall. You might want to check into that.

What is the seatbelt recall in a 1g? The same has happened sometimes to my lap belt. I have noticed the problem once in Remy's 2g also.

Yeah I would like to know about the recall on the 1G belts, my driver side lap belt won't even go in all the way, like there was a quarter stuck in it but unfortunately that is not the case.
