I though this would be a good idea based on the topic JasonR started.
Just easier to read and compare.
And by the way, you're a :liar:

Engineless DSMs don't go very fast at all.
Except backwards when you're trying to push them up an ice covered driveway... :uh:

Swanny: "So you were going 140 huh, got that clutch broken in?"
Me: "No, but I haven't launched it hard at all yet."
Yeah stupid me to go 140 racing some bikes of mile 204 on a new 2600 disc... :uh: :naughty:

Depends on mods. 1G's will do 171 mph at the stock rpm limit in 5th gear if you've got the power. They'll go about 190 if you've got the power and go to 8500 rpms. Fastest I've heard of anyone going is a guy from California that's gone 180 mph in his 1G.

I was really surprised how many replies there are on my post for top speed. I just wanted to see what people thought if gear ratio is longer vs dealer stock ratio, what else could stop are modified machines hitting 200mph? There is a shop that makes are transmission with better gear ratio and stronger components and I ordered the dahm thing, but waiting and dont know if what they claim is true. The fastest I have gone is just 140mph. As long as I am going straight on track I will try to go as fast as possible. :bounce:

well, top speed depends on clutch slip, air drag, and hp. The more power you make the faster you will go at the same rpm, in 4th and 5th gear. I was at 7k in 5th and had 165mph on a gps. So I figure I could get 175-180 at 7500 if the clutch holds up, which was slipping a little at that speed. Who is the cracker that clicked 180? And the guy that did 188mph(claimed) only had "400hp" and 8500 rev limit.

So if I make 400 whp and hit 6k rpm in 5th, I will be going slower than if I had 500 whp and was at 6k rpm in 5th??
9:37AM is a little early to be drinking, isn't it John?

Not me, I voted for my old dsm's, had to make the pole unbias.
John, I think you mean, the more power you make, the further you can get in the rpm band in top gear.

well at some point I will have to put a tack on the input shaft of the tranny then see what it says in 4th and 5th gear at 18psi and 35psi (3xxwhp vs 5xxwhp). I suppose 170mph is possible in 4th gear at 9xxxrpm.
