Because it's done so often now that it is rather common knowledge. There are kits to put a GM/Form V8 in damn near everything, and the 2JZ has found its way into almost just as many cars. It's cool when done right, especially if it's still practical (V8 Miata = fail) but in the end it's lost its luster over the past few years.

I know what you mean. When I did my v8 FC there were just a hand full of v8 swap done. But now ever body and there mother have one.
