HJC Helmets and Corbeau seats group buy

Hey all,

A bunch of Chumpcar guys (http://www.chumpcar.com) have gotten together and are working out a group deal with a local distributor for HJC Helmets and Corbeau seats. I thought I'd post here to see if anyone was planning on buying a helmet or seat for the race season.

If you are seriously interested, PM me your email address and I'll forward it along to the guy organizing the group buy - John, the Cheeseville regional coordinator for Chumpcar.

I'm not allowed to post exact details online... but more interest = more discount! We already have a bunch of people in line for this.

Do they have any idea when the Snell 2010 helmets are coming out? I need to buy an SA helmet but have been holding off because I'd like to get a 2010 certified helmet if possible.

Re: HJC Helmets and Corbeau seats group buy

Inquiring about this, I'll post up when I find out. I don't believe any current Auto helmets offered by HJC will be SNELL 2010. However, I know for the purposes of Chumpcar, SNELL SA 2005 helmets will still be good for at least 5 more years. I think most forms of racing are still accepting SNELL SA 2000 helmets.

Re: HJC Helmets and Corbeau seats group buy

Yeah, this is the last year that most everyone is accepting Snell 2000 helmets. As long as the prices are right I'm interested in a black AR-10.

I was also looking at getting a Corbeau FX1 Pro for my car, so it would be nice to see what this group buy has to offer. A deal on brackets/rails would be awesome, too.

Me too! We're putting together a spreadsheet so people can enter what they want and see how many other people are interested. You can just use first name or screenname or something.

Edit: a link was just sent out for the spreadsheet.

Re: HJC Helmets and Corbeau seats group buy

Lot of people interested initially, and a TON of flakers. Oh well, guess it is expected. But we just need a few more people in for helmets to hit a benchmark. I won't say how much it is, but let me say it will be cheaper than you can get a HJC helmet anywhere... by a lot.

There is a sizing chart on the HJC website. I am unable to link directly to it.

As tempting as that is, i am slightly broke right now, not really but way down on funds from building my car already otherwise i would consider it. I am sure if i did i would end up making a decent amount of money since they are an awesome deal.

Has this offer been extended to any other local car sites like evomn.net or mnmazda.com or mnsubaru.com?

How much longer is this going on? My gf needs a helmet for my bike and it'd be nice to get a discount on a helmet.
