All of a sudden I'm having problems with my avatar. The picture I had as my avatar before is now resized to a 1/3 of what it was.

I'd like to put a picture of my car as my avatar, but I can't figure out how to get it small enough that it'll let me upload it, but big enough that it'll use the maximum allowed. It resizes it to super small now.

What am I doing wrong here? lol

Re: Avatar

What I usually do to resize a picture is use paint and skew it pretty small if it doesn't work then skew it some more.

Re: Avatar

I generally throw the pic on photobucket, where I'm going to host it anyway, and just resize it through their site. You can pick a preset size or manually choose the dimensions, there's no reason not to do it that way if you've got an account there.

Re: Avatar

That's what I tried and when I go to upload it as my avatar it either says "remote file too large" or it shows up but it's literally a quarter the size of a normal avatar.

it's weird. it's never done this before.

Mine is the same way. I gave up caring about it.

Re: Avatar

Don't do an upload, just set it as an off-site avy. If that still doesn't work then you need to either use a different file format or lower the overall image quality.
