AWD= limited slip in the back

Although Chevy and Ford did make some trucks in the late 70's-early 80's that were fulltime four wheel drive. You could switch between 4-LO and 4-HI but not 2WD.
Most new trucks now have shift-on-the-fly 4wd. Beats the hell out of stopping, getting out and locking in the front hubs and then moving along. And then to take it back out having to unlock the hubs, shift into 2wd, backup until you heard a "click" and then proceeding forward.
