Want to borrow: Hydrolic hood struts

I want to try out those hood struts from myne's that you evo guys have. I have a cf hood, and want to see if they would work on my car or not. I don't wanna buy them, only for them to fail. I also wanna know if 1 is enough or i I need two. I'd appreciate it!

Re: Want to borrow: Hydrolic hood struts

You could actually buy most any of them at the parts store, you just need to find the right length and see if you can find ones for a car with an aluminum factory hood so they're a little weaker. You could use one, but it would always tweak the hood to one side when you tried to close it, better off with two.

full custom my friend, basically find a nut that threads on the end of the strut and weld to fender then find a way to attach to your hood.
